Amount of Scholarship: $1 000.00

2015: We have a winner!

The recipient of this year’s Catherine Logan Eddy Scholarship is Mr. Tarek El Sayed from David Thompson Secondary in Vancouver. He is described by one of his teachers as ‘brilliant, dedicated and inquisitive [while also being] an extremely kind and helpful person with a strong sense of community and social commitment.” We feel that his academic successes, the leadership he provides to younger and lower level ELLs at his school and in the greater community, as well as the descriptions of his character, make him the embodiment of this award. Tarek has been accepted to UBC in the fall with the ultimate goal of becoming a pharmacist.
